Summary

This internal-use mobile application was designed to streamline how field teams report safety issues. While final specs remained undefined, we turned every available screenshot into a clean, intuitive presentation. By combining sharp typography, mock interactions, and structured layouts, we made the concept feel real and usable. To elevate the design further, we developed 3D device mockups that brought the UI into a real-world environment. These assets helped tell a better story, ensuring the application could be visualized and shared with clarity.

Project Goals & Purpose

Traditional safety reporting apps feel clunky, especially in the field. This app needed to feel modern and trustworthy, something oilfield workers would actually use. Beyond Development asked us to provide the UI layer with minimal direction, so we focused on workflow-driven design and visual clarity. From structured forms to mock message flows, we ensured the product looked complete, even without full content. Challenges

The biggest challenge was the lack of finalized content or UI direction. Beyond Development provided minimal structure, so we had to create a layout that felt functional, even in concept form. We also needed to ensure the interface made sense to oilfield workers and not just to designers. Creating credible presentation visuals that elevated the UI beyond wireframes was key.

Solutions

We applied strong UI/UX fundamentals to design forms and message flows that made the app intuitive. Every layout decision, from padding to color contrast, was made with field use in mind. We supported the core UI screens with 3D renders that gave the project a real-world presence.
