Summary
During the COVID-19 quarantine, Redemption Square sought to boost local restaurant sales by offering online cooking classes. They provided raw footage to Predi Designs, who then crafted engaging videos featuring Chef Ian. These videos, enriched with camera tracking and masking overlays, were shared on social media, resulting in significant user engagement and support for the local culinary scene.
Project Goals & Purpose
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, local restaurants faced unprecedented challenges due to lockdowns and social distancing measures. Redemption Square aimed to support these establishments by transitioning to virtual platforms, offering online cooking classes to maintain customer engagement and drive sales. They chose Predi Designs for this initiative because of our proven expertise in creating engaging digital content and our commitment to community support.
Our team was tasked with transforming raw footage into polished, engaging videos that not only showcased the culinary talents of local chefs but also provided an interactive experience for viewers. By leveraging our skills in animation and video editing, we aimed to create content that would captivate audiences, encourage participation, and ultimately, bolster the visibility and revenue of these local restaurants.

One of the primary challenges was working with raw footage recorded by the client, which varied in quality and consistency. Ensuring a cohesive and professional final product required meticulous editing and the application of advanced techniques. Additionally, creating engaging content that could capture and retain the audience's attention in a virtual setting demanded innovative approaches and a deep understanding of viewer behavior.

To address the inconsistencies in the raw footage, our team applied advanced editing techniques, including camera tracking and masking overlays, to enhance visual appeal and maintain viewer engagement. We also animated the intro sequence, featuring Chef Ian, providing a dynamic opening that set the tone for each class. By focusing on high-quality production values and creative storytelling, we transformed the provided footage into cohesive, professional, and captivating online cooking classes.
